While it may be just be chance, I do believe it too convenient for two main roles to be dead so soon without someone messing up. The town needs to be more cautious with who it trusts, especially day one.

They called her a mastermind for a reason - clearly they had been playing right into her delicate, but deadly hands the entire time. Even worse, a very grim and dark mood seemed to have befallen their group, one which the dour daily lynching had only served to exacerbate. He didn't even bother to fight it, just allowed himself to be taken up to the wooden viewing platform upon which the noose was located.

He had nothing to lose - a non-bender pulled into a game of murder and intrigue.

God, which one of them was she? Was there even time enough to turn this around?

Just as they had hung the poor non-bender, four figures in their crowd rose pushed forward through the crowd, their faces covered in dark cloaks. Despite their disguises it was becoming all too clear who they were.

Oh dear dear dear. It seems the fabled Team Avatar isn't as fabled as they seemed. They were nothing more than a roving group of stupid little children. - Murmured the figure in front. The voice was under laced with a jolt of mad energy.

This, then, will an act of mercy. She rose her hand and began to form her right hand into a two pointed shape, pointing it towards a still person in the town - one not looking directly at her. Two in the group she was addressing tensed up and ran forwards to her, in an effort to prevent her from doing what she intended; however they were headed off by the two cloaked figures to her immediate right and left - the shorter of the two back flipping to the Airbender and hitting him at certain chi points and the other going to fend off her boyfriend. It seems the people of the town were overrun.

Azula cackled in glee as the lightning bolt left her extended fingertips and struck Toph directly in the chest.

It is over.
