Game 3 Game Thread (GAME OVER - TOWN WIN)

Equestria has often been called by those of of other nations the "Sunniest Dictatorship in the World" - and perhaps there is some truth in that statement. Ruled by the all-powerful Princess Celestia (and slightly less by her younger sibling Princess Luna), peace, love, and harmony have reigned supreme under her thousand year rule; however, lately others have risen, forces who seek to undermine the Princesses' power in order to create hate and chaos in the land. First there is Discord, the living embodiment of Chaos who seeks revenge against the Princess who imprisoned him. Then there is Queen Chrysalis, a Changling queen who feeds off of love and sees it necessary to topple the Princesses' regime in order to feed in Equestria - the heart of love and happiness.

Privy of those dark forces that seek to undermine her regime, Princess Celestia has called upon the citizens of Ponyville (in particular the 6 wielders of the legendary and powerful Elements of Harmony) to clean the town of their vile influences

Today begins the first Day of your game of Mafia. This day will end Sunday the 10th, at 12 noon!

As you should all know by now, the Day Phase is your voting phase. Whoever receives the most votes after this day will be lynched from the game.

from all my experiences with Day 1 (in IRL mafia) it always ends with people pointing fingers and ends with just an overall pass to night phase

then again these groups were much smaller

On a more serious note, after looking at the previous games there was alot of finger pointing and no real discussion.

In an attempt to hedge the use of random killings and because If we lynch a townie and then BOTH mafia kill people we lose 3 people SEVERELY hurting our chances

To be fair, the serious discussion goes on in the pms. The game thread is just a front to vote, though I do suppose publically announcing or talking about something does have it's advantages.

I don't want to change the game but it becomes easier to figure out who is Invested in the town from public discussion, also it makes a record for everyone to see and use to determine whos who.

But what is there really to discuss on the first day? The only thing really to base any suspicion or chat on is any given player's involvement in the public chat or lack thereof. Heck, really just posting a greeting on the first day paints a potential target on ya.
